How to extract MP3 or WAV audio from a video
Use MP4 to MP3 for a compact audio download, or MP4 to WAV when you need uncompressed decoded audio. The source must contain an audio track; a silent video cannot produce sound.
Choose MP3 or WAV, understand bitrates and channels, and troubleshoot video files without an audio track.

Choose the output your next app needs
MP3 is widely compatible and usually smaller. WAV is useful for audio editing and workflows that require PCM audio, but can be much larger. Converting compressed audio to WAV cannot recover detail removed by the original codec. MOV to MP3 and MPEG to MP3 work the same way for their respective source formats.
Set bitrate, channels and sample rate
192 kbps is a balanced MP3 starting point. 128 kbps produces a smaller file; 256 or 320 kbps uses more space. Mono can suit speech recorded on one channel. Original channels preserves mono or stereo, with a maximum of two channels. Choose 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz to match your destination workflow.
Review the credit quote
Audio conversions use one credit per started minute. Free supports up to five minutes per file, Pro up to 30 minutes. Uploading a two-minute MP4 for audio extraction uses audio limits and rates. Credits are shown before confirmation and are charged only after success.
Troubleshoot an empty or incorrect source
A video container can contain no audio, several audio tracks or an unsupported codec. These tools use the first audio track. If the source is silent or damaged, choose another source file. Listen to the download before deleting the original, and save server results before their one-hour expiry.
